Heart of the Game, Inc. Donates Free AED to Youth Athletic Training Club

In August 2018, Heart of the Game., Inc. founder Craig M. Goldenfarb, Esq. and Board Member Dave Magruder of Life Safety Solutions donated the organization’s first Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to Adam Charles and his youth athletic training camp.

Mr. Charles runs a volunteer youth athletic training camp with Ball for Life United, a 501(c)(3) founded by the recreation instructor at Benjamin High School for low-income children. The men volunteer several hours a week working to condition children ages 8-18 years old for several youth athletics, including basketball and football.

Mr. Charles and his group were gifted the AED at an informal gathering at Lincoln Park at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. Mr. Charles had his group of youth who were on hand to demonstrate some of their athletic training. The group’s instructors are 100% voluntary. His group makes for an excellent donee, because as a volunteer club, the resources do not exist for them to be able to fund the cost to acquire an AED.
